The garment must not be worn prior to returning, and should be packaged carefully.
How do I check my sizing?
Please use our sizing guide.
Will I need to iron the dress before wearing it?
We do our best to ensure all garments arrive wrinkle free! However, should yours arrive with slight creases please refer to the Care Instructions & Tips included in your delivery for advice on how to correct it.
What if I damage or stain the dress?
The first thing is don’t stress! Please simply contact Dress & Press on 03 9020 2041 immediately to let us know. We have a professional team of dry cleaners and seamstresses who are very likely to be able to fix it straight away. If the dress is not reparable, unfortunately, you will be charged the replacement value of the dress; as per the amount communicated to you at the time you borrowed it. This amount will be automatically deducted from your credit card once we have informed you that the dress is irreparable. In this case you as the borrower may keep the dress.
In most cases, the dress will be repairable, and only the cost of repair will be passed onto you. Like above, the repair amount will be deducted from your credit card, after you have been notified.
Do I need to clean the dress before I return it?
Please do not attempt to clean the garment before returning it. We use a professional dry cleaning service to ensure garments are not damaged.

How do I earn Dress & Press Dollars ($D&P) to spend on rentals?
By submitting a dress to The Library you are rewarded with $D&P to spend.
How many $D&P will I get?
Dress & Press determines all remuneration based on its suitability to The Library and its potential to be borrowed by other customers. Factors such as the Year the Dress was Originally Purchased, it’s Original Recommended Retail Price, fabrics and wearability all contribute to determining how many $D&P should be rewarded. A general rule is that you will be able to borrow 3-4 dresses of the same caliber as the one you have submitted.
Can I sell my dress to Dress & Press for cash?
Unfortunately at this stage we are unable to offer cash remuneration for garments. Offering women virtual dollars in return for their garments allows us to keep rental fees significantly low, and as such we are able to give women the opportunity to borrow fabulous dresses for a fraction of their original retail price.
We believe that having the opportunity to borrow beautiful dresses in exchange for dresses submitted is a great opportunity and huge chance to save money. Most dresses for to 2nd hand stores or sit in closets for years. This way, dresses can be enjoyed by everyone, and costs for borrowing can be kept lower than if dresses were purchased for cash.
Can my dress be returned to me after I have submitted it to The Library?
Once a dress has been submitted to The Library it becomes property of Dress & Press Pty Ltd. You are welcome to borrow your dress at any stage, however we are unable to return it. Should you desperately wish to have it back please email customercare@dressandpress.com.au to discuss.
